I was appalled to hear the recent rumours in the F1 paddock about Fernando Alonso to be taking Fellipe Massa’s racing seat at ferrari. Have ferrari forgot the 2007 spygate? Have they forgotten Alonso’s part in it? 323 sms messages were sent in a period of 3 months between Mike Coughlan, Alonso and De La Rosa using the information from 780 pages of confidential Ferrari information to help with the set up of their cars and balance of the mclaren. Incedently around the same time as the Mclarens had found pace for the 1st time in over 3 years. Everyone in the paddock seems to have forgotten this.
Alonso has shown no remorse for what he’s done. When the great Michael Schumacher made a couple of split second decisions in his career he was hunted down and crucified by all and branded a cheat, the difference being Schumachers were split second decisions that turned out to be the wrong ones. Alonso on the other hand was unashamed in his premeditaded cheating and has the bare faced cheek to parade around the paddock like has has done nothing wrong.
Max Mosely said after the F.I.A. meeting in paris (click link on right handside) that he regreted that Mclaren had escaped the punishment that they deserved, saying that we would look back on this and say they got away to lightly, and they should have been disqualified from the 2007 and 2008 seasons for polluting the sport.
Is this the type of driver Ferrari want to drive their sacred scarlett prancing horses of which the passion of the whole of Italy and the Tiffosi world wide pins the hopes and dreams on of winning world championships? Someone who feels they have to cheat to win? There are a few drivers in the field at the moment who i beleive in the right surroundings will grow to be better than Alonso. This is your chance to ’say no to Alonso driving at ferrari’ to let your voice be heard take the poll below .
